This is the low vibrational cycle most (if not all) of us have experienced.
Today's world offers us countless ways to distract ourselves. Many of these distractions turn into addictions, and before we know it, we're living a life disconnected from the things that matter most.
Whether it is drugs, food, porn, shopping, or social media, the ways in which we can escape are almost endless.
Board... Scroll social media
Lonely... Watch some porn
Depressed or anxious... Take a drug
Sad... Drink some alcohol
Stressed... Eat this unhealthy food
Negative emotions suck. No doubt. But why has running from them become the norm?
What could they teach us if we were less distracted?
Distracting ourselves from these unwanted feelings is just the beginning. Quite often, addiction follows, and usually unannounced.
Before we can realize it, we're hooked. Stuck in the mud and wondering how we even got there.
Escaping the present moment quickly turned into a vice, and now instead of using our innocent distractions to enhance our lives, we're being used by them. (whatever they are)
We feel powerless to escape. We feel trapped. We lose hope that we'll be able to change and put off trying until tomorrow.
But a lot of times, tomorrow doesn't come, and before we know it, years have passed, and we're mostly in the same place.
Finally, when addiction goes far enough, disconnection sets in. We lose touch with ourselves and the world around us.
Surface disconnections might look like:
- Disconnecting from our health by eating terrible food and excessively drinking alcohol
- Getting lost in video games every night instead of working on an important project
- Endlessly scrolling social media
Deeper disconnections may involve:
- Committing crimes to support a drug addiction
- Cheating on a partner
- Intentionally manipulating others for short-term personal gain
And even deeper than that is the disconnection that most of us don't even know we've already endured.
The greatest disconnection of all: The disconnection from nature and our true selves.
The question is, how do we get reconnected and free from our vices, and find peace in the present moment again?
What can we do to break the cycles of low vibration and ascend back into resonance with our highest potential?
That is what we want to talk about.
The facts are this: life is hard, and it's human nature to seek the path of least resistance.
No matter who we are or what we do, life will give us our fair share of obstacles and pain to overcome, and we will do what we can to avoid them.
This is where we first seek to distract ourselves and where the cycle begins.
Many of us think that if we aren't naturally good at something and encounter struggle, then it just isn't meant to be. If we don't find the answer after a minimal amount of effort, then it's just fate… destiny… whatever… and there's nothing we can do to change or improve.
We let the slightest bit of resistance stop us at the front door of our life and move no further.
And as a result, we spend our entire lives on the front porch of the greatest experience in the known universe: being a human being.
We miss out on most of the indescribable beauty that living a fully embodied life can give us.
We never find out what we're truly made of, how amazing we actually are, and how incredible this human experience can really be.
We're born, we exist, and then we die, never meeting the person we could have been.
A good life, a happy life, and a successful life will not happen by accident.
Creating a life that doesn't need escaping from takes a lot of hard work and attention.
It can be monotonous, boring, and redundant. Putting off what feels good right now for what we want most in the future, over and over and over.
It's not a big break or one life-changing plant medicine ceremony.
It's 1 million micro habits and the moment-to-moment decisions that create our personal reality.
Our character is defined, not so much by our words or thoughts, but by our actions.
It's the things we do consistently that make us who we are, for better or worse.
Thankfully, consistent effort to growth and personal development–in our health, our relationships, our jobs, our communities, our passions, and our thinking–is one of the most rewarding pursuits we can embark on.
Because when we wake up each day focused on bettering our minds, bodies, and spirits, we automatically make the world a better place.
The late, great Ram Dass once said, "I can do nothing for you but work on myself...you can do nothing for me but work on yourself."
We believe that to be true.
Returning to balance and finding harmony in ourselves, first and foremost, is the greatest thing any of us can do for one another.
If we want to move through the resistance, if we want to break the cycles, asking the questions is where we start.
Can we get curious about what our lives could look like if we decided to take our power back, get free, and realize that stillness isn't all that scary?
When we ask ourselves where we're going wrong, we will get an answer. We just have to be willing to hear it.
Hearing the truth usually isn't easy.
Accepting the truth is ever harder.
And living the truth in our daily lives is the greatest test of all.
After we ask the questions, it takes humility and honesty to hear the answers and admit where we could improve. And after that, it takes courage and discipline to make the changes we know we need to make.
The good news is we all have the power to take these steps and taking them one step at a time is the key.
The journey back into harmony lasts a lifetime and inevitably we will fall off the path.
Getting back on the path is what matters, over and over and over again, until we find it, or move on trying.
Here at Henotic our mission is to get in harmony with life's higher vibrations and help you do the same.
The driving force behind Henotic and everything we do revolves around the idea of harmony. Uniting mind, body, and spirit back into harmonious balance using one of nature's most powerful nutrients, cannabinoids.
We combine our supplements with the Henotic philosophy of working hard and dancing free, which adds up to living a high vibrational life, a Henotic life, where health and happiness are the norm and not the exception.
As we said in the beginning, society wants us distracted, addicted, and disconnected. Living Henotic means fighting back against that low vibrational cycle. Working hard to stay connected, dancing free from attachments, and striving to be right here, right now, in the present moment.
The supplements we offer can help. They are an important part to living a harmonious life.
